Guiding Principles

Canada’s Parliament has given up its primacy as the source of law to the government’s executive (PMO & PCO) and judicial (Supreme Court) branches. This platform will propose changes that will enhance the legislative function of Canada’s government. One general proviso will be that the following proposals should all be read as notwithstanding the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Moreover, a new government will review the past 10 years of Supreme Court decisions where new law has been “read in” to the Constitution or Charter of Rights with an eye to approving or overturning them.
